Comeback
Guess who made a comeback?

SPICE GIRLS!

Check out their new video (and their saucy outfits):

It has been 10 years since they made a breakthrough in music industry in UK. I remember I was still waiting to head off to Manchester to study when their first single Wannabe took over the world by storm. Who can ever forget the phrase zigga-zy-ah? That was when girl power shot up to fame and I have never missed their singles till the very last one. It was near over for them when Geri a.k.a. Ginger Spice left the group to pursue a solo career and since then each of the member has released her own record but Mel C a.k.a. Sporty Spice was the most successful in my opinion. Nonetheless they all got back together and their first single reflects on the journey they took separately but eventually got back together as true friendship never ends. Old as they may be now, they still can belt out a good note perhaps not to the liking of the younger generation now but the lyric itself carries deep meaning that will certainly touches a few hearts across the globe.

On a related issue to Spice Girls, Posh Spice a.k.a. Victoria Beckham guest starred in the recent episode of Ugly Betty. Her role is somewhat suited to her character although I have to say dyeing her hair blonde is probably not a wise choice... Then again, who am I to judge coming from a man who knows nothing about fashion and who wears Bata shoes with holes? LOL! [not saying Bata shoes are of low quality, just that I don't have the need to change my shoes at the moment]

On another related issue to umm, TV series, Heroes is beginning to keep me on edge with its twist and turn. Journeyman made its new angle and CSI made another crossover to Without A Trace for an interesting case. Other notable mentions include Desperate Housewives, Bionic Woman (the actress' British accent is impeccable), House, Prison Break, and Grey's Anatomy. Let's hope the writers strike will end soon otherwise we will have a lot of premature season finales by the end of this year!

On a negative issue, I have been ill since last Friday. I am not sure whether I had food poisoning but I have been feeling rather uncomfortable for the past few days. I regained my appetite yesterday but I still cannot stomach too much food intake in a day. Today I have 3 bad cases of hiccups. Drinking fizzy drinks did the trick to remedy it but somehow I think that my digestive system is messed up. Daily solid excretion has not been "normal" and I always feel bloated throughout the day and night. I feel lethargic easily and I have taken quite a lot of over the counter paracetamol, probably enough to cause gastric under a few hours. This is NOT a good experience!

This is probably worth a mention, I have passed my Japanese exam! The result was posted on the noticeboard yesterday and no marks were shown on the list except for names of students who have passed. Interestingly my name was FIRST on the list, kind of suggesting that I came top in the class! I'd like to think it that way but I guess I shouldn't be too cocky about it. Let me see if I can get the real score from the teacher. XD

This week will be a busy one! Stay tuned for more updates! Please come to ICC for the Brunei Health Expo and if you are free on Sunday, do come and join us for a game of treasure hunt. It is not going to be a huge event, just a mini one with reasonably attractive prizes (limited of course). You can also attend forums and seminars on health related topics for free and we have invited speakers from overseas. See you there!
